The 103^rd Annual Department of New York Convention, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW charter date is 11/27/1920) and 99^th Annual Auxiliary Convention (4/30/1925) will be held in Albany, New York on June 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9, 2024. The Headquarters Hotel for both the VFW and Auxiliary will be at the Albany Marriott Hotel, located at 189 Wolf Rd., Albany, NY 12205. All VFW and Auxiliary activities will be held at this Headquarters Hotel. 

Joint Opening & Memorial Service: Presentation of VFW and Auxiliary Colors and Memorial Service is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 6, 2024, in the Main Ballroom of the Albany Marriott. (Units presenting colors will assemble at 12:00 noon outside of the Ballroom for line up).

Arrivals and Registration:               Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 10:00 am.

VFW Committee Meetings:              Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 10:00 am.

VFW and Aux. Memorial Service:   Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 1:00 pm. 

VFW Opening Meeting:                    Friday, June 7, 2024 at 8:00 am.

VIP room reservations will open on April 1, 2024. VIP housing deadline is April 7, 2024. All VIP reservations received after that date will be processed as a General Housing Reservation (see below). VIPs must make their reservations by phone directly with the Albany Marriott at (518) 458-8444 (ask for VFW rate).

General Housing reservations will open on April 8, 2024 and remain open until Friday, May 10, 2024. Reservations must be made by phone directly with the Albany Marriott at (518) 458-8444 (ask for VFW rate).

**Housing Deadline:  Due to other major events scheduled in the Albany area during the same time as the Department Convention, the Albany Marriott expects the hotel will sell out quickly following the housing deadline of May 10, 2024.  Make your reservations promptly!

VFW Convention Advance Delegate Registration: Must be received at Department Headquarters by COB May 31, 2024. Delegate registration fee of ten dollars ($10.00) which shall entitle the Post to one identified registered delegate for the Department Convention.  Each additional delegate attending the Department Convention will pay an additional five dollars ($5.00) delegate fee (form is enclosed).

Delegates registering in advance will not have to register at the Convention and will only need to pick up their delegate cards and lanyards which will be printed and ready for pick up at the registration table. Pre-registration will save you time and not require you to stand in line to complete the registration process. 

Program Ad Book & Booster Sheets:  Please mail ads flat and do not fold.  A check must accompany your copy-ready Ad and contract.  Please make your check payable to the Department of New York VFW. Ad deadline is May 24, 2024.

State Commander and State President Dinner:  The State Commander and State President’s dinner is scheduled for Thursday June 6, 2024, at 6:00 pm.  There will be a cash bar cocktail hour from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Dinner tickets are $55.00 per person. A dinner reservation form is enclosed. Tickets must be prepaid by check or credit card. Dinner Tickets will not be available for purchase at the Convention. Dinner reservation deadline is May 24, 2024. The dinner dress code is business attire.
